And A Round of Applause for...

After walking through almost the entire San Antonio Zoo, Aletheia only showed a significant reaction three times. At the aquarium she smiled a lot and stared at the big fish. She made loud noises for the storks and the egrets. But there was only one animal that prompted her to break out into applause--the rhinoceros. Here she is with Uncle Kasey posing in front of what appeared to be her favorite animal.

I was really interested to see what her reaction would be the the elephants, but she fell asleep just before we made it to them.

I was reading to Kai tonight, as we always do before bedtime. The book I chose to read first is one that we've had for a while, but it hasn't yet made it into the story rounds. As is our custom, I read the title and the author before starting the book and my mind took a stutter step. What's wrong, why am I pausing?

The book? AlphaOops!: The Day Z Went First. The author? Alethea Kontis. Not a perfect match for Aletheia but darned close.

It's a funny book too. I'd say it's a must have for her bookshelf. Unless, she already has it? If so, then I've just rambled on for pretty much no reason....

That's great! I hadn't heard of that. It'll be great for Aletheia to have a book by someone with almost the same name. Thanks for the tip!

Note to other readers: Patti and Kai can be found at Two Geeks and A Baby, linked to at the bottom of the Aletheia Update.
